JustGiving: Skydiving for Diabetes
A courageous London native made a bold move by announcing her plan to raise awareness for Diabetes research throughout the United Kingdom. According to her JustGiving page, Jennifer Bell plans to dive out of an airplane at a staggering 10,000 feet. Conventionality is not necessarily always the best route to take when it comes to raising awareness, and Jennifer harnesses that knowledge by making a scene in the charitable community.
According to E-How.com, the most advanced stages of skydivers typically fall at a height of 5,000 feet. The idea of jumping out of an airplane is frightening to some, and invigorating to others. No matter what end of the spectrum one may be on, a jump such as this is bound to bring awareness to her cause.
Jennifer, according to her website, had been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the early age of 12. Her bravery shows not only how far she has come in her fight against the disease, but her willingness to educate and make others aware.
